Q+ (pronounced "Q plus") for iPhone is an external close up lens for enhancing the iPhone's camera lens capability for viewing small barcodes on close range.


Since a generic macro lens could achieve different results for different phones (due to varying camera lens capability), we decided to build the lens for the iPhone version differently from the standard ones to help optimize camera images for the iPhone.


Reference: iPhone 3G does not have auto-focus and can only read 2D barcodes of 0.80 mm/module or above. But with the help of the regular Q+, it is able to read barcodes at 0.40 mm/module. With the Q+ for iPhone, it can read even smaller ones at 0.25 mm/module. Test your device lens capability with this test sheet.

Q+ provides macro capability for mobile device cameras to view barcodes clearly on close up.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Peel off the transparent protective film from the sticky side of the lens.
2. Remove any external substance from the device camera, then attach the sticky side to the outer rim of the device camera
3. Press the lens firmly onto the device for 3 seconds to ensure attachment.
4. Q+ will greatly enhance the iPhone's capability for viewing smaller barcodes on close range.

Notes

If the lens's adhesive material gets dirty and loses its stickiness, rinse or wash it with clean water. Once cleaned and air-dried, it will recover its stickiness and can be reused over and over again.
